Hydro Jetting

Hydro jetting is a highly effective and efficient technique used to clear out clogs and debris that have built up in pipe walls over time. This process involves the use of high-pressure water jets that are sent through the plumbing system to ensure that all areas of the pipe are cleaned thoroughly. By doing so, future blockages and backups are prevented. These water jets are incredibly powerful, and they can remove even the most stubborn grease, food particles, and mineral scale. Before commencing the hydro jetting, the plumber will perform a video inspection of your plumbing system to identify any major blockages and areas of heavy buildup. Furthermore, they will also evaluate the pipes to determine whether they can withstand the intense pressure. If, however, they are too old or weak, then the hydro jetting may not be a suitable option. In such cases, the plumber can still snake the pipes to break up any tree roots that may have grown dangerously close to your plumbing system. Alternatively, if your plumbing system is dealing with frequent clogs and drainage issues, you may want to consider installing new, more efficient piping. To begin the hydro jetting process, the plumber will drop hoses into your pipes and activate the hydro jetting machine, which can pressurize water up to 35,000 psi. Even though this pressure is incredibly high, the plumber will adjust it based on the plumbing system’s needs carefully. As the water runs through the pipes, the hydro jet dislodges debris from the pipe walls, and thanks to gravity, this debris safely travels downward and gets flushed out of the plumbing system.
